The official Twitter account of the Pokémon anime franchise has just dropped thrilling news about the next chapter in Pokémon Horizons: The Series. Dubbed “Terastal Debut,” this fresh arc is slated for its premiere on April 12. Accompanying the announcement is a captivating image, offering fans an enticing sneak peek into the forthcoming adventures.

The series made its initial debut in Japan in April 2023 with a special one-hour episode, enthralling audiences with its Friday broadcasts at 6:55 p.m. JST (4:55 a.m. EDT). Its second arc, titled “Terapagos no Kagayaki” (The Brilliance of Terapagos), commenced with the airing of its 29th episode on October 27 in Japan.

The creators of Pokémon first declared that the anime would debut on Netflix in the United States on February 23. Instead, the show made its premiere on March 7.

Liko and Roy, two brand-new dual characters, are introduced in the anime. It includes well-known figures from the video games Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, such as Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly. Fans can also expect to see appearances by the Shiny version of the legendary Pokémon Rayquaza.

Friede and Captain Pikachu, a Pokémon professor and partner team who team up with Liko and Roy in combat, are two of the new characters that have been presented.

The latest installment in the Pokémon anime franchise, known as Pokémon Horizons: The Series in the Western markets, introduces the franchise’s first-ever new protagonists. Directed by Saori Den at OLM, the series debuted in Japan on April 14, 2023.

In English-speaking regions, the series made its debut on BBC iPlayer in the UK in December 2023. It arrived in North America on Netflix on March 7, 2024, premiering the first 12 episodes. As of now, no confirmed date has been announced for the release of the subsequent episodes.
