The famous Dragon Ball series creator, Akira Toriyama, passed away suddenly at the age of 68 from an acute subdural haemorrhage. Nonetheless, he has left behind many manga books and artistic creations.

He has been able to carry on with his creative endeavours for more than 45 years because of the global support of so many people.

official X account revealed Akira Toriyama’s passing on Thursday by sharing a message from Bird Studio. The statement conveyed sadness and mentioned that Toriyama was working on multiple projects with tremendous enthusiasm at the time of his passing.

The statement said he had many more achievements ahead of him and mourned the unfulfilled potential. However, it recognized his lasting impact on the world with an abundance of manga books and other artistic creations.

The most well-known creation of Toriyama is the wildly popular anime/manga series Dragon Ball, which gave rise to innumerable copycats.

Undoubtedly, it is one of the most popular manga/anime series ever. With the new Daima series set to debut later this year, it has retained its popularity for decades.

Akira Toriyama’s Last Wish Before Funeral

By Akira Toriyama’s wishes for peace, his funeral was held with his family and a few close relatives.

Respectfully conveying their choice not to receive flowers, gifts, condolences, visits, contributions, or other forms of sympathy, the family honoured his wishes.

They also politely asked that interviews with the family not be conducted. The details of a future memorial service have not yet been decided upon, but the family has thanked everyone for their continued support and understanding, promising to disclose more details as soon as they are verified.
