Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King Movie Gets Asta Character Promo

The first of several character trailers for the forthcoming anime film Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King, which starts streaming on June 16, has been made available on Netflix. Asta is the main character of Black Clover and makes the dramatic PV’s bold declaration, “I will change this country with everyone!”. Ayataka Tanemura is once again directing the animation, which is being produced by Studio Pierrot.

Character trailers will be released for 3 consecutive weeks. The next will be Yuno’s trailer, scheduled for June 2.

The movie was initially slated to debut on Netflix on March 31 and in theatres around Japan, however this was postponed because of production challenges brought on by COVID-19. The primary cast of Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King includes Ayataka Tanemura as director, Itsuko Takeda as character designer, Minako Seki as a music composer, and Johnny Onda as one of the scriptwriters. Yuki Tabata, the author of Black Clover, will oversee the original plot.

Voice actors for Past Wizard Kings

Several of the previous Wizard Kings, whose voices appear in the film, include:-

  • Toshihiko Seki as Conrad
  • Fumiya Takahashi as Jester Galandros
  • Houchu Ohtsuka as Edward
  • Marie Iitoyo as Milly Maxwell
  • Miyuki Sawashiro as Princia

Ayataka Tanemura (Black Clover second half, Fuuto PI assistant director) is the director, Johnny Onda (Black Clover: Yuno no Sho light novel author) and Ai Orii are the scriptwriters, Itsuko Takeda (Black Clover) is in charge of creating the characters, and Minako Seki (Black Clover) is in charge of the music.

Tatsuya Yoshihara, the Chainsaw Man action director, directed the first half of the Black Clover anime series and served as the main director for the second, which aired from 2017 to 2021. As of March 2023, the manga, which is published by Shueisha, had 34 tankoubon volumes. The anime ended with 170 episodes. It’s streaming on Crunchyroll.
